“These designers need a suitable platform and we are one of the best platforms as we are supported by the media. There is a continuity as a platform provider, designer, and consumer. Thus, this will have an impact on the creative economy; as announced by President Jokowi, ” added Mrs. Liliana Tanoesoedibjo as Chairwoman of MNC Group and HighEnd Magazine.

This year’s event – with the theme Alunan Wastra – marks the 8th year of Fashion Festival and 11th year of The Masterpiece. I Fashion Festival will feature the brilliant collections of three gifted Indonesian designers namely Defrico Audy with his glamorously edgy ethnic designs, Merdi Sihombing with his effortless ethnic eco fashion designs, and Adrie Basuki with his magnetic designs that pays an homage to Indonesia’s hidden textile gems. Meanwhile,The Masterpiece features eleven acclaimed Indonesian fashion designers, Anne Avantie with her spellbinding modern take on the kebaya, Albert Yanuar with his stunning work that is versatile in nature, Anaz with his elegantly feminine ethnic design, Ayumi with her stunning assortment of seamlessly tailored ethnic design, Defrico Audy, Enst Couture with their romantic approach to ethnic fashion, Katy Matskevich with her electrifying elaborate design, Livette with its elegant and awe-inspiring approach to Indonesia’s ethnic fashion, Lisa Ju with her whimsical and intricately designed dress, Lukman Abadi with his breath-taking take on ethnic fashion, Yongki Budisutisna with his entrancing batik design. Each of these designers took inspiration from different tourism areas in Indonesia for their respective fashion couture pieces.

“In full support of government programs in developing Indonesia’s creative economy and tourism, this year we present the ambrosial works of Indonesian fashion designers that are inspired by the Indonesian archipelago; highlight the characteristics of several Indonesian tourism areas in an effort to improve the progress of Indonesian fashion on an international stage,” explained Mrs. Liliana Tanoesoedibjo.
